First Communion Cake for Katerina

Here is a lovely pic of Katerina who celebrated her First Communion at the Waterfront Crab House.
It was such a pleasure creating this cake for her and her family.

Katerina loves purples and lavenders and gerber daisies and loves to dance!

It's always wonderful meeting with the family to create a cake for their special celebrations. Meeting with families gives the cake designer a better insight as to how to go about creating something lovely and memorable.

We wanted to try out a new flavor and so we came up with a cinammon syrup infused yellow butter cake with Italian Merringue Buttercream, drizzled with caramel. Almost like a cinabon, but better! I think I'm going to keep this on my flavor menu!
The bottom two tiers were yellow butter cake, infused with a Framoise Simple Syrup, Fresh Strawberry Preserves, Italian Merringue Buttercream and topped with Fresh Sugared Strawberries. sweet tooth is beginning to wake up.
